  • Question: What makes locally sourced food better?

Answer: There are many reasons buying from local food sources is a better choice for you, your family, and your community. For starters, food grown locally will be in season. And naturally, it is fresher. This is not only important in terms of taste, but also in nutritional content. Sourced from local farms, our products have avoided long-haul shipping and all the processes that entails, including losing nutrients along the way. Instead, you’re getting produce that has only just been harvested. Importantly, you’re buying local. This means your dollars stay in the local economy and you’re supporting local businesses.

  • Question: How soon can you deliver to my home?

Answer: We offer same-day service for home deliveries within the town limits. We’ll take your order, pack it, and bring it directly to you, at no additional charge.

  • Question: Can you handle larger orders?

Answer: We regularly supply large orders of many items. We provide fresh produce to many commercial organisations, from caterers to cafés, from restaurants to clubs and pubs.

  • Question: What are the benefits of sourdough bread?

Answer: Sourdough bread is leavened (made to rise) using wild yeast. Not packet yeast from a commercial food manufacturing company. Often this wild yeast is an heirloom starter that has been kept alive for years for its potency and tangy flavour. Sourdough bread contains lactic acid, which aids digestion. It is also higher in protein and minerals than conventional breads and lower in sugar.
